My name is Robert McGrady, I'm a multi-disciplinary artist and theatre maker from Minneapolis, MN. My practice includes but is not limited to: painting, comics, printmaking, puppetry, playwrighting, and directing. Throughout my work, I consistently return to themes of queer masculinity, desire, and shame through the reinterpretation of religion and myth. What that means is I draw and write about queer bodies as monsterous, disembodied, or undergoing violent transformation. And also it's supposed to be funny.
I am an associate artist with The Birth Play Project.
